The Arrows are my favourite. After only 2 albums, they sadly broke-up while they were still successful due to the pressures from their management to generate a hit single outside of Canada :(

My favorite bands from the 80's... and still are,

of course,
1. Depeche Mode ( always my no.1 band since i'm 12! )
2. The Cure ( lovely! )
3. Japan ( sing me Gentlemen Take Polaroid any day...)
4. U2

Hey, i love this place. I feel like i'm living in the 80's again!!!
When i was 12, Depeche Mode was on the telly with 'Shake the disease'. It was awsome and really got into me. I've become a fan since then. I know it sounds hilarious but i had this feeling that i'm gonna love them forever. Same things happened when i first listen to The Cure, and now, i thank god that these bands are still around. I'm actually growing up listening to them!

Patti Smith Group
Dave Warner's From The Suburbs
Ultravox (John Foxx, not that wanker Ure)
Icehouse
Marianne Faithfull
Warren Zevon
Kraftwerk
Jane Aire & The Belvederes
The Stranglers

Best bands of the 1980s. Hard to choose just ten of these, but I'll give it a shot. In no particular order:

1)R.E.M.
2)Men At Work (no, I'm not kidding)
3)Love And Rockets
4) The Smiths
5) Pre-"Kick" INXS
6) Peter Gabriel (ok, not a band...)
7) Depeche Mode
8) The Bongos
9) Romeo Void
10) Talk Talk

Typical list for an American teenager in the 1980s, I suppose
