I think that Nightmare of the Elf definitely takes the top position for the "new Boingo" of the 21st century.

Their lead singer, (un)leash, definitely has an Elfmanian presence in performance. I heard he has also recently written a book of poetry, "Hymns for Brueghel", including many poems about elves! I can't wait to pick that up, too.
