This reminds me of Sir Bob Geldof's comments about the female fans reactions to the Beatles[:p]

hmmm, I wonder if I could possibly score a free ticket, being an ex-4AD employee. I wouldn't even know who to contact at this point. Sadly, I only met Brendan and Lisa a couple of times briefly.

oh SHUT UP!

Sadly? Yeah, right, I'm weeping for ya. [;)]

Some of us here would LOVE to sight any 4AD legend in public, let alone meet them. Hell, I'll even take an autograph from Vaughan Oliver.

Best DCD memory, I was selling merch during the All Virgos Are Mad festival in LA. While setting up in McCabe's Guitar Shop late one afteroon, Brendan strolls in and starts checking out guitars. He strums a few, and then sits down with one, about 3 feet from me, and plays it for about 30 minutes, singing a few tunes as well. No one else was there except me, trying not to sit and stare, and a couple of store employees.

Ya, a presale which a friend informed me about. I secured a pair of tickets as well(NYC naturally). I nearly had a meltdown yesterday afternoon because ticketbastard failed to notify me even though I indicated for them to do so nearly a month ago.....yet they feel the need to wire me concert adds for the jock-itch rock of the Dave Matthews Band or the dull as dishwater James Taylor. Fuckers.

Anyway, this totally caught me off gaurd. I felt like such a whiney, pennyless teenager asking to borrow my mother's credit card.
