Justice Iranian Style!

In todays news I compare two justice systems.
1- In Iran, a man convicted of drugging, kidnapping, raping and killing 17 kids(boys) was captured. To the cheers of his victims families, he got 100 lashes of the wip while on public display. After his flogging he was hung.

2-A Queens-church going- father, was charged today. He admits tosexually assaulting 7 boys and girls aged 7 to 11.More victims are coming forward as young as 4 years old. He says he never forced them, he was being a father to them. He raped them. He faces 50 years in prison.

The difference? In Iran, there will be no more victims to this sicko. In Queens, the child rapist will live on your tax dollars until he gets early parol and maybe moves next door to you and your kids. And all his victims are ruined for the rest of their lives. They will never get over this or live a 100% normal life. Is this justice? I think not.[:(!]

Even if you're pro-death penalty, I can't imagine you possibly think that public torture and execution is a good idea.

Philly, I love your threads [:D] While I'm sure the Iranian chap deserved what he got. I could never be "Pro" that kind of punishment. For the simple reason being that there are too many innocent that are condemned only to find out it wasn't them. And to

Not to sound insulting, but have you really thought about what that would mean or is it a reaction to the latest horror?

And since the death penalty has been shown to not be a deterrent, why would public torture be any different? Someone that has that

No need to argue about it. Soon enough we will liberate all of these godless countries and murdering pedophiles will be free to roam the streets unhindered.

Very good points from all. Ben, I totally agree. The thought of someone not guilty going through this is bad. But if you get someone caught, cnfesses and is totally guilty, then what the hell. Motors is right, I'm dreaming a dream that will never come tru

Thanks marv. If your anti- death penalty, life/no parole works.
Sexual predators ca not be cured. Put them away. I don't get why any politician would not push for these laws.

Put shackles on these low lives, something. Make them wear ankle cuffs so they set off alarms in schools for cryin' out loud. If Martha Stewart can wear one for heaven's sake..... What about that one girl that was recently killed by a sexual predator. He
