How old is too old for . . .

Someone posted earlier that earrings and ear hair do not go together . . . Anyone else here having an existential crisis about being told (or fearing that) you're "too old" for something?
I guess I've delayed that stage of my life thus far by not having any kids to tell me I'm old and out of it, but I had a couple of things happen recently . . . first, someone made a remark about it being time to cut my hair. I wear it long (Demi Moore-ish) but I don't have any gray and it's in good shape. Second, I got the "are you going to wear THAT out?" from the BF. The "that" was low-rider jeans (no BB or tummy skin showing).
I never used to think about crap like that. For the record, I don't dress like a teenager, and I think I look FINE. [}:)] But now I'm nervous. [xx(] Anyone else?

Only in relation to my modified "Flock Of Seagulls" hairstyle. (Modified because I've lost most of the hair on top of my head.) Personally I just think they're jealous. [8D]

I heard somewhere that people shouldn't wear band t-shirts past the age of 30. That one kind of hurts.[:(!]

If you have a shred of self awareness, you should know if you crossed a line. "Those" kind of jeans look great on women who've made an effort to stay in some semblance of shape. My wife wears a pair and I think they look fantastic. She says they're ext

If you're still dying your pixie-cut hair with all sort of wild and out of control colours, outrageous make-up, wearing Docs and safety-pinned jacket with a PVC skirt... then, yes, that shoulda been left back in the teens no matter how great a bod a woman

I decided I was old about a week ago when I took my 13 year-old to Hot Topic and saw all the Smiths and Siouxsie t-shirts on the wall.
Well, that and the harsh realization that I am the mother of a teenager.
Kill me.

Bullshit, You are only as old as you want to be. I'm 40 and I wear band shirts proudly, listen to music loudly and still find great humor in crappy 80's movies. Who cares what the date on our birth certificate indicates. Live life the way YOU want to, not

Well, my wife is 31 & just had her hair dyed blue ( for something different she says) & I'm 39 & still wear band t shirts & a leather jacket (albeit a plain one), so I gues I still haven't grown out of my teenage phase.

I have totally changed my looks over the years. I cut my hair (it was so cool-that killed me) and put away my m.c. boots and trench coat. But I still have earrings in both ears and my new tattoos. I do dress more grown up now but with an edge.

Hexicon you go girl, show off them curves! In your case it just sounds like jealousy from others!
I am of the opinion that if you are comfortable in what you are wearing than all the power to you.
I think people should take pride in their appearanc
