DualDisc Format

I thought I would start a new topic, now that I dived into these shark infested waters.[:D] I searched the forum and did not see this topic anywhere, so here goes.
I was curious if anyone has purchased any music in the new DualDisc format. I have some reservations about it, especially with warnings printed on the covers. This is regarding the possibility that the audio side may not play in certain players, because it does not meet the Redbook specifications. This makes me think of the warnings on the copy-protected discs, which I avoid. I also saw an article about there being problems using these discs on Pioneer products, which can be reviewed here:

My CD player is a JVC and at least 5 years old. My DVD player is fairly new and from Sony. So, it may not matter for me.
I am also concerned about the fact that the disc requires more care than a standard CD in that both sides must be kept clean; although, this was true of vinyl. What about car systems?
It appears that more CDs are being released this way. Just by looking at the the extra content, the labels are not offering too much. I'd rather have an extra DVD.
Is the DualDisc the future for pre-recorded physical media or will it fade away? Any thoughts?
