Wanted: 1981 Mp3s

Postby WhoDoYouThink » Sat Sep 24, 2005 10:24 am

Hello--

Looking for an mp3 copy (128kbps or higher) of Phil Gentili's
"Mama Lied" and Karla Devito's "Midnight Confessions". I can do a trade if you'd like. I have mp3 copies of EVERY song to hit the Billboard Hot 100 from January 1980 and December 1989.

I am now trying to collect every song to "bubble under" the Hot 100.
The Phil Gentili song is one that I can't find anywhere. Which is a shame, 'cuz it's a pretty good tune. I heard it on an aircheck tape (KIQQ/Los Angeles, 1981). Can't find the Karla Devito, either.

Thanks for your help!

I found it on vinyl at eBay:

I don't think it was ever on CD, so any mp3 is probably going to be made from a vinyl recording (as with many mp3's of older songs). It was a great tune. I'm trying to find an mp3 myself. I don't have the equipment to make my own. Please let me know if you find it.

Thanks,
Glenn
