Laying down some rules on this board

Discuss hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative, and share a few songs along the way.
NOTE: requesting songs that are entirely unrelated to the genres discussed here or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.

Laying down some rules on this board

Okay, it looks like some of us are getting a little touchy when people post their CD-R lists. Please refrain from 'shooting people down', especially on their very first post, because this is precisely what DOES NOT help to create a sense of community.

Obviously, we all have plenty of custom CD-R comps that we've made, but I invite people to post their lists on this section of the board, particularly when they feature vinyl rarities and hard-to-find material. Spaz, Eno and I are not trying to monopolize anything with our Obscure80's series. In fact, it's quite the opposite: we would love to see what others have to offer and perhaps arrange trades. Others are welcome to do the same.

And one last thing about being unfriendly ... remember you're putting your own bad behavior on display for all to see. In the end, you lose because you alienate yourself from others. I don't ever want to resort to banning someone or censorship, so let's keep it cool okay?
