Cassette to MP3

This site is a real find, I am gald to see I am not alone out there in my love for the obscure and lost songs of the '80's

I am looking for advice and tips on converting my 300+ cassettes to MP3 or any other digital medium. Most of these cassttes contain hard to find or OOP stuff, in studio radio concerts, etc . from the time when radio was worth listening to.
I will be more than happy to share this stuff when I get it converted.

I gave this a shot last night, but I never could get the sound to work as far as hearing the cassette play through my speakers. I tried Jukebox, then opted for the Windows Sound Recorder, and in neither case could I hear while the cassette was playing. Ho

Sounds like you need to check your Windows sound controls. Check to make sure you have the right things checked or muted and adjust the volume for each as needed.

I bought LP Ripper to help me convert minidiscs to MP3, and it works really, really well. It's also very easy to use, and it works with cassettes.
