SHARE: The Major Thinkers Complete Collection
Posted: Wed Jul 10, 2013 12:59 pmI'm a big fan of The Major Thinkers only LP, self titled from 1981, but their 1983 EP features one song not on that album, Humanesque, and it's so good, I had to compile everything I could on the band. Turns out that's 19 tracks! In addition to the LP, you get the band's sole b-side "Welcome To The Coast" (which is pretty awesome) as well as the rare 7" version of "Back In The 80's" which is about a minute longer than the LP version (it's a better version too!) There's 4 versions of my beloved "Humanesque" and a couple of tracks that were rerecorded for Portrait in 1983. This collection covers everything the band put out (i believe) and, at 19 tracks, would fit snugly on one CD. It deserves to be remastered with extensive liner notes and pictures. This is a good one. It really grows on you.
