Well spotted bigarbel. Maybe I will call it the "Top of the Pops Mix" now

Can anyone please check https://www.discogs.com/ABC-Zillionaire ... ase/790467 and confirm 100% that "How To Be A Millionaire $ $ $ $ $ $ $" is the same as the single mix. The durations are the same but that means nothing. There are rumours this is an instrumental.

It is the UK single mix. The duration is correct on Discogs.
Not the US single, album version or instrumental.

The UK 7" appeared on cd only once on Another Lost Decade: The '80s: Second British Invasion from 2005. This collection was complied by Vinny Vero. Dj Paul T had an excellent vinyl rip on his burningtheground blog which is sadly not available anymore. To me the UK version was far better than the US.

Thanks. May I ask did you listen to the mix? Do you have the record?

I have these 12" singles:
https://www.discogs.com/ABC-Zillionaire-Bond-St-Mix/release/790467
https://www.discogs.com/ABC-How-To-Be-A-Zillionaire-Wall-St-Mix/release/115916
https://www.discogs.com/ABC-How-To-Be-A-Zillionaire-Wall-St-Mix/release/846381

All of the B1 tracks sound the same.
There is no "Pounds, Dollar, Millionaire" intro.
The break after Zillionaire has female vocals "Tell Me, Tell Me, Tell Me" instead of sampled "Billions Of Pounds... Corruption".

Ok, I got the other record today. When Smokey Sings (Detroit Mix).
The B-side is the same as the other twelve inch I had.

Ok, yes, there are differences in the 2nd verse.

Here is the alternate mix, cleaned up:

Ok, about the Night You Murdered love (alternate mix).
-----------
Its basically the Radio Edit.

Canada got it on their 7 inch, and it appeared on a UK 7 inch promo.

It also appeared on several UK acetates.

It looks like the Album version was put on all the compilations, and almost every 12 inch,
and 7 inch version internationally.

For some reason, this edit was not used.

Also, somebody on Discogs, said their version was completely instrumental, but no one else
has it.

Yeah I was confused because the discogs entry states
It is not an edit of another mix and is not the same as the radio edit with the same duration that appears on some 7" promos.

It seems there is a lot of misinformation on ABC like the person who claims there are 2 7” instrumentals of how to be a millionaire. Or the supposed censored versions of a-z.

I think that instrumental of night is the bonus beats version. His copy might be a mispress

no kidding. i remember on wikipedia, and it was there from 2009-2015,
that skppy squrl guy kept trying to post there was an ocean blue CD single, and US release,
which of course, there weren't.

However, I did discover on discogs, a 2x7 inch for ocean blue / all of my heart that is real.
so some things are still out there waiting to be discovered.

Thank you for this one. Would you mind uploading a lossless version (WAV or FLAC)?

I am afraid some of the comments on Discogs need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Not that the writer intentionally wants to confuse matters but rather that through the mist of time a lot of misinformation has been taken as fact.

i will take discogs information over anything else, any day.

at least people there care about music, and give lots of details.
and if they don't, people are there to correct it.

i know i posted about a several items, but i didn't have a picture and people questioned
if they were real (electronic - second nature US promo CD with exclusive mixes), and
then years later someone posted a picture to prove it was real.

it also happened with an underworld acetate of confusion the waitress i posted about,
and then someone posted a picture of that also.
