I'm pretty sure this is everything The Promise did. Discogs lists another track in a compilation album, but if I remember right that is by a band with the same name.

Unfortunately the rip on the second single isn't so clean (Don't know if anyone has a clearer rip to share?). Time To Speak is actually very good.

Thanks for this! It looks like Away Away isn't complete... the original version ticks 7 minutes long!

Hmm, it seems there were three versions (all can be heard on Youtube) but discogs doesn't give track length of each.

I'd think the 7" clocks in at 4:11

The Adventure Mix (according to Youtube anyway) is that 5:20-ish one.

You may be referring to the 'special mix' or 'special dance mix' (6:56 on Youtube, and has a shimmering keyboard opening which is distinctive)

I don't have this version unfortunately.

I think both long versions are the same... the only difference between them is that the shorter one avoids the intro, and starts a minute later with a fade-in. By the way, the 7 minute version on YouTube is only 6:12 minutes, as the last minute of the video is practically empty

I couldn't help notice this discussion regarding The Promise so hopefully I can shed some light as to the Mixes / Versions of "Away, Away". Years ago I transferred the 12" record onto DAT in hopes to one day clean it up but I could never get the intro to sound right so never included it on any of my series! Anyway, I had written down the title as being The Promise "Away, Away" (Adventure Mix) which is what the record actually states. A few years later while record shopping, I came across the same 12" Record but the title said "Away, Away" (Dance Mix) so I asked the owner of the shop if he could play the record and I clearly remember thinking the mix was identical to the (Adventure Mix) so I left the record. With that said and if memory serves me well, I strongly believe both the (Dance Mix) and the (Adventure Mix) are the same! If i'm wrong then i'm getting too old and I apologize!

Here is the full version of The Promise "Away, Away" (Adventure Mix) 614 (84) which I started working on but never completed! Enjoy!

Ps: I may one day revisit the track and try to restore!
