The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's Vol. 133

Postby Rissan » Mon Nov 16, 2020 7:37 am

Another week, another Volume. I hope everybody is still well and doing great although for most of us the moving space might be limited to the home area.

this weeks Volume was influenced by my number one artist release database Discogs. During a recent vinyl hunt for DUTCH New Wave I came across a German seller. I always check the New Wave releases the seller has on sale, and therefore stumbled upon a lot of new names. The result will be presented on Volume 133 and next weeks 134.

Volume 135 will be a thematic Volume again. After that I intend to come up with another five Volumes to bring this series (most likely) to an end at 140 (which will be a thematic Volume as well).

Mainwhile enjoy the tracks, be careful with covid-19, and do well.

The tracks:

01. Expresso - Tango In Mono (3:19)
02. Suzy Andrews - Scandal (3:38)
03. Bette Bright - Hello, I Am Your Heart (3:08)
04. Kleenex Aktiv - Hilfe (2:51)
05. Glenn - Say You Will (4:13)
06. Majzen - Janine (3:45)
07. City - Unter der Haut (5:24)
08. Soma - White Robes (6:20)
09. Optimal - Monoton (4:21)
10. Would-Be-Goods - The Camera Loves Me (3:00)
11. Ivan Opium - Made In Hongkong (3:00)
12. Vibration - How How (mature of society) (2:26)
13. The Revolting Paint Dream - Flowers In The Sky (6:17)
14. Slow Children - Staring At The Ceiling (single version) (3:09)
15. Rikshaw - Ordinary Day (3:30)
16. The Room - Things Have Learnt To Walk That Ought To Crawl (3:37)
17. The Sinceros - Disappearing (3:49)
18. Les Immer Essen - Infinity Horn (3:50)
19. James King - Back From The Dead (2:45)
20. Angie Rox - Are You Waiting (3:33)
21. Zeitgeist - Touch (3:41)

The Sinceros - Disappearing......what a memorable track from an otherwise totally unmemorable band (IMHO, from the rest I have heard).......

Thanks so much for these volumes. I didn't think it was still possible to discover so many new 80's bands! :D
