So that sums it up then. I am not regretting not picking up a copy last week in Amsterdam suspecting that the whole release is a disaster. Even knowing that they are going to be collectors items. I'll wait for the new announcement and hope everything from the first album era will be included. Again: here's hoping.

This was one of the confusing releases this past year. One moment it's being released, then it got cancelled, then someone saw it a store but apparently from some other label. I ordered originally from Amazon and the release date got moved to some time in January. Anyways, after all of that, I was able to get this 2cd set and am holding it in my hands right now. With all this craziness, I just wanted to have one. Not sure if I am getting an inferior product but this does exist guys.

Mine was apparently shipped and then got cancelled. Not sure what's happening . The cancellation came in a day or so after it was shipped. Amazon refunded my order. Who knows maybe I'll end up with a free copy?? Anyway I'd rather wait for a better version. So far there's no mention from Cherry Red about a future version.

I pre-ordered mine directly from Cherry Red when it was first announced...and received it this past weekend!

Paul Fishman (who played keyboards with the band) actually left a comment on SDE giving his explanation and thoughts on the situation. This is what he said:

“…The intended release was not taken from the master tapes. Most of it came from dodgy vinyl, which is a shame because the masters exist. Changes to the artwork and credits were neither approved. Almost a bootleg! I think people deserve better and so I requested that they start again and do it properly. Another album is being put together and will be available soon. I would suggest you wait as unlike the scrapped album it won’t include tracks that were never recorded e.g. Spanish or other non existant versions. Sorry for the delay.”

So it looks like the reissue will happen, it but we’ll have to be patient. Here are the original details about the now cancelled release.

BUT has less tracks than before: 10 on disc 1 & 13 on disc 2 (the withdrawn version had 13 & 12 respectively, so 2 tracks have been culled).

Those are:

-Cruel World (7 inch Spanish Version) (which does not exist, so no loss here).
-Cut It (3:13min. 7 inch version)

The 12 inch version of Jungle (which is shorter than the album version) is still not present.

Good news is that the rest of the 12 inch versions from the album are included, even TPOD.

This time 'round I suspect all is taken from masters.

And the UK 7" of Politics of Dancing has gone

The track "True Lust" is included here, but not on the withdrawn version.

It's back up on AmazonUk as a revised edition.

Just got this in the mail. It's the supposed 2019 revised edition. What a mess! several tracks are chopped off slightly at the very end/beginning and there's a noticeable hiss too. The Politics Of Dancing (US 7") sounds like it's got a few seconds missing at the beginning and end much to my dismay. If anyone has their 1993 One Way Records cd still, please don't sell it as it's probably the best sounding version so far.
