Killing Joke Remasters

Killing Joke Remasters

Postby darkluna » Sun Jul 10, 2005 6:45 am

Who can offer their opinion of the new Killing Joke reissues? Is the re-mastering done well? I'd have them myself by now, but I just found a good deal on the Chaos For Breakfast singles box-set, and am enjoying that.

I'm hoping the reissues continue, as they stopped just shy of my favorite albums: Fire Dances / Night Time / Brighter Than 1000 Suns. They need to release A New Day - Dub Version...always loved that one.

I was kind of interested in those as well, but there really wasn't anything wrong with the mastering on the old ones IMO. Kind of disappointed in the bonus tracks too, I was really hoping for some previously unissued stuff. BTW darkluna, wanna trade any KJ stuff? I have some that's kinda tough to find, email me if you're interested.

I believe I saw the new remastered version of "Democracy", and if so, the only bonus track on it is a seventeen minute version of "Democracy". Not enough to make me buy the CD over again. It would be nice if the "Me or You" single with its b-sides would make it onto CD, though.

Yes, I think they also remastered "Democracy" and "Pandemonium". I agree, the sound quality the first go round wasn't all that bad. Though, "Brighter Than 1000 Suns" sounds terrible.
