Saw them open for the Blasters in 1985
the originators of "cowpunk"!

That debut album ( with 'Amanda Ruth') was on my turntable a lot and you're probably right... not sure I can think of an earlier new-wave/punk group who integrated the western aesthetic (visually and musically) like they did.

Sad to see "my" artists pass but this is going to be a common occurence I'm afraid. If I got over strummer, maybe I can handle anything.
