Well, WolverineSyr you haven't made a Disco fan out of me, but thanks for the music. I do like the Sheila B. Devotion and Thelma Houston songs. And think the Donna Summer one is quite unusually.

Two disco songs I'm looking for are "Black Russian - Move Together", "Billy Preston - Go For It"

ahhhhh RU - I can't convert everyone!

Uploaded 10 more - folder is named 7-1-05 in my "Disco and dance" folder

Bionic Boogie - Papillon - Luther Vandross on vocals

Fonda Rae - Over Like a Fat Rat - check it out, I love this one!

Don Armando's Second Ave Rhumba Band - Deptuty of Love (Fonda Rae on vocals, Kid Creole influenced)

Ritchie Family - Lawrence of Arabia/Show Me How You Dance - really queer, but I love it. The lead singer goes dangerously off key many, many times.

First Choice - Love Having You Around - with the classic line "everyday I want to ride my camel..."

T-Connection - Do What You Wanna Do
Crown Heights Affair - Dancin
Bonnie Oliver - Come Inside My Love
KatMandu - The Break
Sylvester - Grateful

I've uploaded some cool Swing inspired disco for 7/16/05 - look n my Disco Dance folder on the hub.

Some of this stuff isn't so obscure or rare, but the subgenre tends to get forgotton. A couple of the tracks are impossible to find anymore though.

Doctor Buzzard's Original Savannah Band: The Gigilo and Me, I'll Play the Fool, Sour and Sweet, Mr. Love. August Darnell led this group, he later formed Kid Creole and the Coconuts.

Corey Daye - Green Light - former Doctor Buzzard vocalist and occasional guest with Kid Creole.

Elbow Bones and the Racketeers - Our Love Will Always Stand, A Night in New York (side project of August Darnells)

Salsoul Orchestra/Loleeta Holloway - Runaway

Gichey Dan - Cowboys & Gangsters

Janice McClaine - Smack Dab in the Middl/

Since my request falls in the Disco/Dance category, I'll post here.

Anybody got the LP version of "Got A New Love" by Good Question? If so, please e-mail it over.

Thanks!
