Any glitches? I'm hoping for a very nice reissue overall especially the 12" versions.

It was released on the limited 12" of Black Man Ray in 1985.

There are no glitches on the 12" versions only on Performing Seals.

Still no original 7" version of This Occupation. They must hate that track for some reason.

I just got the 2 that I ordered. I've only had a chance to check part of Fire and Steel. I can tell you that these are not brickwalled in any way. They show fully dynamic range. I sampled 3 of the 12" mixes on CD 2 and they do appear to be from masters. My only complaint is that the set definitely takes the high end down a bit, so there's a little lack of clarity, especially on the 12" mix of Tragedy and Mystery. But I can reEQ it before it goes on my iPhone. I'm just happy it (at least what I've examined) is from masters and not brickwalled.

Does anyone know if the "demo" of African and White is same as the first single version?

Hi Jonas. Good question.
No it's not. The original 7" can be found on youtube:

The demo on the deluxe sounds totally different and less finished, as you would expect. It is called "1979 home demo" on the rare compilation "Fine and also rare china".

Thanks! I was looking for that version on youtube but was overwhelmed.
I wonder why it was not included on the 2-CD.

I think it's been 3 weeks since they have advised me that these cd's have been sent out. Are they using camel to deliver my package? I still haven't received it and getting really annoyed.

On another site someone in Germany just reported getting his this week. I've had packages from the UK to my home in US take as long as 30 days recently.

I'm in the US and in the past, it took 10 days or less to get mail from the UK. Nowadays, it's taking more like 30 days like you said RevUp64. Not sure what's going on with UK mail. On the other hand, German mail is like super fast today compared to the past. I get stuff from Germany now within 10 days, often more like 6-7 days. German postage is also super cheap in the past year or so.

On the first 2-CD (DIFFICULT SHAPES & PASSIVE RHYTHMS) these four released tracks/versions are missing: African and White (First Single Version), Be Suspicious (vinyl B-side version), No Ordinary Lover (12" Version), Christian (Single Version). The first two seem not to be available on any CD. Track 3 seems to be available on the 1990 CD-maxi https://www.discogs.com/China-Crisis-Af ... ase/826643 Track 4 is available on 1990 2-CD COLLECTION - THE VERY BEST OF CHINA CRISIS. (We could also add "African And White - The Steve Proctor 1990 Remix" - 2 versions....) (oh and "Seven Sports for All (Home Demo 79/80)" and "Christian (Home Demo 79/80)" from "FINE AND ALSO RARE CHINA")
