Robbie Nevil might be good.

Nik Kershaw would be very good

I would totally invest in a collection that compiled all of Malcolm McLaren's offshoots & rabbit holes--the hip-hop, the opera, the house, the jazz...

Totally agree on Robbie Nevil.

Also B-52s, Lene Lovich & a bigger Thomas Dolby, as 12 x 12 left off a bunch.

most of the rarities and remixes were on the deluxe editions, there
was also 12 inch remix collection called 12 by 12:

I too have that Thomas Dolby 12 X 12 collection from 1999, but also had a problem with this one, like the PSB Please Further Listening disc 2.

Like `kotzkarnickel´ said on Discogs, this one has a defect on track 2: Windpower (High Power Extended Play) 5:56min. Starting at 3:48 lasting till 3:52. Seems like the track skips a couple of times.
Bought a new copy some 10 years later but was still on there. Is this also on the 12"-vinyl?

Right, as I mentioned it was missing several tracks, mostly remixes of Airhead, though. There are 4 of them that haven't been on CD yet:

Airhead's Revenge
Airhead (Def Ears Mix)
Airhead (Rusty's Mix)
Airhead (Rusty's Dub)
plus
Howard The Duck (Megamix)
Get Out Of My Mix (Special Dub Version)

and all the remixes of Oceanea that were only released digitally.

That's part of the remix, not a glitch. It's in every recording you'll find.

The Oceanea mixes are good, but since he's on different labels, its hard to put them together.

All those other missing mixes are terrible, there's a lot more that could be out there, but most are collaborations,
and on other labels.

I hope the ABC collection is released soon. The best mixes are unavailable on CD or on hard to find and expensive compilations. You have to pay a fortune now for so80s4 which had the Mendelsohn mix of King Without A Crown. In fact all the Mendelsohn mixes are great.

Personally.......i would prefer the actual stems of those 80s tracks that didnt have an extended version in order to be able to create one.

i've had a lot of luck with all the 80's songs that are in rock band and guitar hero.

if you want instrumentals, just type in the song, with instrumental on youtube,
a lot of songs already have the vocals removed.

for ones that don't, i look for the best karaoke version.

To be fair both Japan and China Crisis have pretty much been covered if you have the recent remasters from China Crisis and The Singles by Japan. Two bands i would like to see get this treatment is Wang Chung and Then Jerico.

Wang Chung yessss! Let's see what this 80swave website does since he's back online. The two Berlin cds are expected in June according to Amazon, but no date of Wang Chung cds yet.

I have noticed, that on Jack Hues and the Quartet's official website bios, it suggests "a detailed, remastered Wang Chung Retrospective to be released in 2019. Jack is currently working on a new solo album to be released in 2019" https://jackhuesandthequartet.com/bios/ So maybe they are putting out their own official release...

That 80swave website is gone again just showing File not found (404 error) obviously it's been a scam from day one.

Yet some of their cds are on Amazon scheduled for a June release. Makes you wonder! I will not buy unless I’m a 1000% pure I’m not getting ripped off.
