I love and still listen to that British Jazz Funk era. I - Level, Linx, Beggar and Co., Loose Ends, Shakatak, Level 42, Central Line, Imagination, Incognito, and Junior.
If you look through the British Music Magazines/Newspapers of that time like NME, The Face, Smash Hits, No.1, Melody Marker, Record Mirror, and Sounds most featured the 80's Jazz Funk bands right along with the New Wave bands. One of the Best Spandau Ballet recordings is a heavily influenced Jazz Funk Album, 'Diamond'.
