Can't wait... but I wonder, will SHWG be the full 12" version and sadly, why no 7" instrumental? Small gripes for what looks like an amaze box.

“CD 1 features remastered versions of the band’s legendary early-’80s 12″ single A-sides, with ‘Numbers’ and ‘Soul Inside’ being very slightly edited in order to fit onto the disc”

Therefore, I’m curious if they (again) will also use the early fade-out on the 12” version of Say Hello, Wave Goodbye (8:58min.). The full version is 9:21min. and is VERY hard to find
on CD. Let alone the fact that the instrumental version of SHWG was never released on CD.

Hopefully some things will change for the better in the tracklisting between now and September.

Somewhat strange that the 7 Inch Singles don't appear nor do the 7 Inch B Sides????

I can only think a seperate compilation is being released to include those.

It's not hard to find it's on this cheap compilation https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381277571048 or https://www.discogs.com/Various-12x12-V ... ase/226638 To be honest you aren't missing nothing with the extra 20 seconds or so.

For me this boxset is disappointing. I had hoped the 4 albums would be on it and I never thought that we would end up with 12 inch edits (!!!). It's a hodgepodge of tracks with no consistency. The real bummer is ofcourse the missing SHWG (instrumental) B-side and the edit of the 12 inch (which is used here again, like the other CD's). Definitely not gonna buy it.
