I hope they'll at least mention WIllie Deville and Robert Gordon. How about The Kojaks? I doubt it. If the Shirts are mentioned, then the Laughing Dogs should be also. We were Lisa's favorite band! And Hilly was manager for The Shirts.

I wonder if this film will reflect the scene in the mid 70s more accurately than previous attempts. I doubt it though. It wasn't just Blondie, Ramones, Patti Smith, Television, Dead Boys, etc. There were so many other great bands that I saw and also shared the bill with at CBGBs. But judging by the actors being recruited and the amount of money they'll need to recoup, I'm betting it'll end up being the equivalent of what they did with "Cadillac Records"
- a far cry from the real Chess Records Story!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/05/cbgb-film-patti-smith-iggy-pop-mickey-sumner-taylor-hawkins_n_1570522.html

The film, which chronicles the famous New York City music venue, has cast "The Big Bang Theory's" Johnny Galecki as Terry Ork, "The Borgias's" Mickey Sumner as Patti Smith, and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins as punk legend Iggy Pop.

Alan Rickman has already been cast as CBGB founder, Hilly Kristal, while Malin Akerman is set to portray rock icon Debbie Harry.

I spoke with Hilly's daughter Lisa recently about the film. She called me and asked me to send her some Laughing Dogs pics and video clips for the film.
