Wow....I told myself no more comps! I have enough comps but...damn!
This will take quite a while cause Rapidslow is incredibly slow for me. About 45 minutes per download with the...is it still 90 minutes between downloads? Oh well.
On other sites I can snatch in minutes but Rapidslow.....I guess that's how they get you when you don't have an account. You get what you pay for.

I got the first one (bitrates vary including 128's ugh!) and it took well over an hour. ID tags need fixed also. Apparently someone kept the ID tags from the original releases (some of them anyway). So far the sounds are good not all scratchy.
Trying for the second.
Got the second, working on third. No problems here. |

First one going now and download time is about 40 mins. Eeek! Oh well these compilations are definitely worth it. While I have 75% of what is on them it's just cool to have them all in this package.

Here's some info about these comp. from a very credible source: 
-These were put together by noone other than one of the members of New Wave Outpost
-They have now reached vol. 37
-They were originally posted on a torrent site, thepiratebay, starting in October 2007, now they have spread like a wild fire 
-Max Murdoc is so right (sorry max). There are all sort of bit rates there as this guy did not know he could use itunes to create a consistent BR and do the tagging (after all he's an old timer )
-He has now pulled the plug on them and has decided to go back, re-do the previous volumes, all with better quality copies of songs and consistent bite rate. They will re-appear once there are no seeders for the old torrents.
-what was the purpose behind these comp? to give these underappreciated and mostly non-mainstream bands of the 80s a chance to be heard again, as they deserved way more attention. I was not surprised that people went ahead and purchased the full records after hearing a single song in there. Of course those they could buy as most of these songs are not commercially available. |

| "All Your Love" by Niagra Calls from Vol. 7 is one of my top favorite songs from the 80's. I am unable to locate any information on the band and I've been searching the web for years. Does anyone here know if an official 7" single was ever released? My guess is the track was lifted from the Sounds magazine and that is where I first heard the song. |

"All Your Love" by Niagra Calls was only available on a series called Debut Magazine Vol. 2 from 1984 the german series with Eurythmics on the cover.
They have a second song that made it onto Vol. 10 with Nick Heyward on the cover (german series) called "Love is Blind".
This series contained a magazine and record in 12" Format. They were available as a UK & German editions. |

Finally got Vol. 15 downloading right now after 6 days , thanks rapidly-slow-share...
OTPH, Vols. 32 -37 loaded very smoothly with no limits per day...

I'd even be willing to start a DVD seeding program -- mail you DVDs for a copy of the entire set, and then I will mail a set of DVDs out to 9 people who can copy those DVDs for 9 others...

It might take a while as I am ruling out duplicate songs (yes I got carried away and 4 or 5 songs were included twice ) I am replacing them with a few rare but great songs I had forgotten all about. Also putting in better quality of some songs. I will make sure to send you a message once done. Thanks about DVD offer. It's very nice of you. |
