| pellerman--in terms of APB being available, is When I Feel this Way available on CD as far as you know? Because as far as I know, that's also not availabe, unless by 'available', you mean as a digital download. |

Funny thing, when I was given this song George from APB asked me for a copy! He didn't even have one.

Thanks for that vote of confidence there pman, but i gotta give the credit for this to my uncle. I raided his new wave collection, weeded out the mediocre stuff, and burned it all to cd (over 100 fully loaded cd's, omg can't believe there was so much). Just 3 months ago i'd never heard of almost any of these bands.
Speaking of new wave/80's college rock, why has this genre been so hidden, like it's been tucked away in a cave somewhere, and needs to be brought back into the light.
Pman, those tracks posted are phenomenal, none of them were anywhere in my uncle's collection. I also found your posting of the cucumbers, my boyfriend, and disco deutschland, thanks so much for these.

Han - you're so right about this genre being too hidden, there are a lot of people who would probably get into it, but they've never heard most of these songs and artists. Maybe someday it will be resurrected and there will be an actual radio station that plays it (at least maybe in New York or LA). Music today is so boring.
Just a tidbit of info about Free Love - did you know that the Christian Coalition had this song banned from MTV, so it must really be naughty. |

anywhere. I have a radio edit from a cassette tape of a broadcast from the late great WXXP station in Pittsburgh (sister station to WLIR), but alas, it's not the greatest quality. If you know where I can find it, please let me know.
