Does anyone know what became of either of these two bands? I know that The Suburbs were from Minnesota.Believe it or not,at first I did not like either band when they first started out. They were too weird for my taste at the time. But once they became more of a commercial sounding band,I started to like them. The first album I like by The Suburbs was actually an EP called Dream Hog,which had some funky New Wave stylings to the EP.It included their first college radio song that got some airplay for awhile called "Waiting" Then their next full album was the "Love Is The Law" album, which I really liked alot.

I loved the video to "Love Is The Law" as well.I also liked the song "Rattle My Bones" which was also from the same album.I think it was supposed to be the next single taken from that album. And then the next self titled album, which was to be their very last was also a good album.

As far as The Untis go,it wasn't until I heard "The Right Man" the very first time, that I started to get into them.Again they were another New Wave band who went the funky New Wave route to become more of a commercial sounding band.By this point they started to have more of a Thompson Twins influence and sound, and I liked what I heard.I don't think they did much after their first album EP "New Way To Move" and the rest was history as they say.

The Suburbs play infrequent reunion shows in Minneapolis. Beej (lead guitar) lives in L.A. but comes back every once in a while for a show. I saw them last summer opening for the B-52's at the Minnesota State Fair and they were great as always. They're
