Simple Minds - my alltime favorite, but with a weaker period after Sparkle in the Rain (84) till they released Neapolis in 98. But at that time they were `old-fashioned'.

Other bands/artists... Icehouse/Iva Davies, The Fixx, Gary Numan and Oingo Boingo - quite unknown in my country (Germany), but everyone knows Weird Science.. very strange. Sad that they broke up in the mid90s... Wire (plus sideprojects like He said, HALO etc.), Indochine (french band), The Sound/Adrian Borland, Chameleons, .. my list can be longer...

Early 80s I'd have to go with The Go-Gos and X. In school, all the girls wanted to be Madonna. I wanted to be Exene Cervenka.

Late 80s were all about U2 for me. I'd still follow Bono anywhere. I love that band.

Hubert Kah

My favourite band for the last 20 years. They got the look as well as the sound. I will never get bored of listening to their songs. Line up includes Hubert Kemmler, Klaus Hirschberger, Markus Lohr and the man behind the scenes, Michael Cretu. Favourite songs include:

Midnight Sun
Lonesome Cowboy
Under My Skin
Suzanne
Drowning
Angel 07
The Picture
C'est La Vie
Explain The World In A Word
Military Drums

Also the songwriter for the beautiful Sandra.

Yes, I do believe you are right! I remember they had one song that I loved but have not heard since the 80's. Do you remember the name? Hopefully, if I ever get ahold of that song, I'll still love it!
