Weren't they performing with The Church at that concert, somewhere at the UW? (I can't get my dates straight anymore!) Yep, I witnessed two awesome bands that night. I also saw The Church a second time (before or after, I don't remember) that featured a warm-up band called The Rave-Ups, whom I DO like, but thought it an odd pairing.

I've always thought their last proper 80's album (prior to the breakup) had a lot of underated songs, a few of which made people's lists above:

Lips Like Sugar
Bombers Bay
Bedbugs and Ballyhoo
Blue Blue Ocean
Satellite (I think that's the title...don't have the cd handy right now).

Maybe it's becuase I first some them live (Seattle 1988) on that tour...what a killer show!

Older faves include:
Silver
My Kingdom
Villiars Terrace
bigwavedave
The Jet Set

<br>Bedbugs and Ballyhoo was always my fave. No one mentioned that. Hmm.. Is it rare now? I believe it was the b side to "Lips Like Sugar" but I could be wrong...

You are right. I also like Bedbugs... very much. I spent all day today singing it and also singing Close To Me by The Cure.

ElectricLash, memory is a funny thing. I can remember exactly what I wore but I can't for the life of me remember who opened.

I agree, that album is underrated. Now that I think about it, it seems like that was my last New Wave album; it closed an era for me. I have to think about this some more and then reply in the "What did you listen to in the late 80s?" thread.
