Best Bunnymen's songs

Postby Mechi » Fri Apr 07, 2006 11:36 am

Seeing the good response that the "Best DM's songs" thread got, i also think it would be really interesting seeing other NWO members favourite Echo And The Bunnymen songs. As always, let's try to keep it in a maximum of 10 songs so as it really reflect our taste.
Here's my list:
The Killing Moon
Bring on the dancing horses
Rescue
The Cutter
Never Stop
A promise
Lips like sugar
Seven Seas
Nothing lasts forever
Stormy weather (yeah that's really recent)

Upppsss... I am thinking of more but I'm resisting myself of adding more than 10.

I pretty much agree with both of your lists except I'd remove "Dancing Horses" and maybe another and replace them with "Crystal Days", "Villiers Terrace" and "The Puppet".

I have to thank Bfflogrrl for introducing me to Echo many years ago with a 12" remix of Killing Moon. That will always be my favorite from them.

I also love:
The Cutter
Never Stop
Ocean Rain

That is a great song. A synthpop group called Merge do a good job covering that Echo track.

Sorry if this list is similar to others. Mine in order:

1 Ocean Rain
2 Seven Seas
3 The Killing Moon
4 Never Stop
5 Nocturnal Me
6 A Promise
7 All Because of You Days
8 Pictures On My Wall
9 The Cutter
10 Back of Love

Heavy slant towards Ocean Rain I know, but that album is one of the all time greats IMHO.

I think Ocean Rain was their best album. It was also the album that I first got introduced to back in the day.

It was rightly transfered. [:)]

All the lists are great. I'd add The Game... which's excellent.

Bedbugs and Ballyhoo was always my fave. No one mentioned that. Hmm.. Is it rare now? I believe it was the b side to "Lips Like Sugar" but I could be wrong...
