My kids and I are really into the whole Decade CD this week.
We're just blasting it over and over!
I'm partial to Rio and Hungry like the Wolf...my six year old knows all the lyrics, and my two year old does the Bah bah-ba, ba-bah bah bah ba part from Planet Earth.

BTW hi, just joined!![:D]

I remember buying that CD back in 1989 and lamenting that the 80's were over.

DD or should i say Arcadia[;)] song for today....Say The Word!!!

Theres a skill, its nothing we could learn at school
With a will to survive beneath this rule
Money thrives as corruptions president
Waste the life of the young and innocent
But after all and the resistant can be disobeyed
So, when we call, please dont think twice or be afraid
Hey, mister, say something

Say the word - if your eyes are open
Say the word - before this love is broken

The lights are down, but you dont sleep so tight
The words around that we play for keeps tonight
As we all know even the best made plans go wrong sometimes
But if it blows well be the ones they victimize
Hey, mister, say something

To put this right

I just finished grading 3 Senior classes' vocabulary quizzes while listening to DD's 1st album. The one with "To The Shore" instead of the cut that later replaced it, "Is There Something I Should Know?". Nice beats to keep me going with a rhythm.

From the under-rated Liberty, song of the day is Venice Drowning.

"Venice breeding shy chimeras
of sex and violence
in the purple evening silence
Venice dreaming of a partner
Fills your hands with breasts of marble
from the cradle to the table
coax this naked treasure from
your saviour

divine blasphemer tempting
holy beads of jism
with the scarlet catechism
her lips will answer
(oh, her lips will answer)
how to be ther perfect stranger
the perfect lover wanting
and as you'll discover...giving
and as you'll discover...being

come swim into my love
come swim into my life
enter this sublime corrosion
Venice drowning in emotion

the body stirs and is reanimated
only briefly--
but then life is very brief"

JUST AMAZING!!!!!![;)]
