Ten. This is tough. Right now I'll go with (in no particular [i]order</I>):

Sooner Than You Think
Dreams Never End
Age Of Consent
Perfect Kiss
Here To Stay
Temptation
1963
Thieves Like Us
Vanishing Point
World

Mechi, this'll be your first New Order show, right? Brilliant. I remember my first N/O show. It was glorious. I can't wait to hear your feelings on the show afterwards.

Yes, it'll be my first No. show!!![:D]
The last time (and the only time) that No. came to Argentina was 1988 and I was a year old. Wish I was taken there as a baby, but my parents do not dig New Order at all. Plus... I would have seen classic No. line-up (even though I like Phil Cunningham a lot).

Great, which means my first New Order show in 1987 was before you were born - thanks for the reality check [V] [;)]

Don't complain about it Marv... you got your first No. show in the best era possible and you are still young!![;)]
I can't stand to see New Order videos or anything due to the anxiety level that I've reached.
I want to climb on the stage and give Barney a huge hug... but I don't see that happenning.

With the mentions of New Order concerts . . . I have to admit the one I went to turned out a dud--actually my worst concert experience ever (even beating the time my friends I worked with at a record store convinced me to go with them to see Paula Abdul in concert at Magic Mountain--she lip-synched by the way--surprise, surprise). It was the triple bill of The Sugarcubes/Public Image Limited and New Order at the Irvine Meadows, 1989. For starters--we never got to see the Sugarcubes due to unbearable traffic. We got there two hours late.

We sat in the lawn--far, far away from really seeing anyone on the stage and the New Order show was cut short due to a 1 a .m. curfew. (They all of a sudden cut into playing "Fine Time" and before the song was finished the lights went up, and the plug was PULLED on them (the concert organizers were behind schedule as it took longer than anticipated to change the equipment, instruments for each act). I only remember seeing a miniature version of Bernard Sumner singing in front, lame visual effects and not much to see otherwise, being crowded in front of a wire fence behind the last row of seating, among very drunk teenagers. My friend who got the tickets did a really rotten job getting us these "lawn seats" as they were called. (In fact, I got back in touch with him a few years ago--I should be mean and give him a call and say "hey do you remember . . . ")

I've only been to the Irvine Meadows, once, since. I got tickets the day they were available and my friend and I got to Irvine six hours early to have dinner and hang out at the malls.

I'm glad to read there's been good New Order shows. Whenever I tell anyone my experience people tell me, well that's not the type of group you see in concert, yada, yada . . .

What you bring up reminds me of the concert I saw New Order at a roller skating rink in Fullerton, California called Billy Bartty's Roller Ring to see New Order (I also remember seeing TSOL, Black Flag, and Surf Punks there...), and their drum machine or tape deck went out and they couldn't perform "Blue Monday," so a mini riot broke out, and I said I'd never see another show there again. The city/police shut it down a few weeks after that N.O. riot!

Lat time I went to The Irvine Meadows Ampha-armpit... I saw Elvis Costello And The Attractions aroung 1990 or 1991-ish, had seats, still couldn't see the performers without binoculars, hate that place! The "lawn" seating sucks there... "Head on the Door" Tour, me and my girlfriend (who was really into the Cure), jumped that wire fence and got to the front somehow past the Gestappo bodyguards somehow... to the front! Great gig, and venue if you in the first like 20 rows or less.

New Order was great... I'm glad it was great cause I do like them a lot and I wouldn't have liked to get a bad memory from that.
But for example, I got a not so good The Strokes concert last year... anyway, that doesn't mean that I do not like them now or that I wouldn't go and see them again.
So... give New Order a chance.[:D]
They are an important band now and play long gigs.
