Top 10 I Never Need To Hear Again

Postby djcraig » Mon Nov 07, 2005 10:15 am

These songs were either overplayed, lame, irritatingly repetitive or all three:

1. What I Like About You- The Romantics
2. anything from Thompson Twins
3. Wild Boys- Duran Duran
4. Who Can It Be Now- MWH
5. anything from Naked Eyes
6. Rock Me Amadeus- Falco
7. De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da- The Police
8. Let's Go All the Way- Sly Fox
9. Sunglasses At Night- Corey Hart
10, Chicken Outlaw- Wide Boy Awake

God, what were people thinking making these into hits?

Even now I need aspirin if I hear them.

What are yours?

Don't know why you've got Debaser on there...I agree with all the others though and would like to add...

1 Shiney Shiney by those Anorexic Twins Hazy Fanwhatyever!!
2 I Ran - Flock O Seagulls (played to death)
3 Love Shack - B52's (ditto)
4 Woodpeckers From Space - Video Kids (I hate this one so much I actually have to occasionally replay a clip to get my hatred back up to it's proper high level)
5 Our House - Madness
6 Oh hell- pick up almost any 80's best of cd and just list those songs...they may have been great in their day but how many times can you really listen to Rebel Yell or Girls On Film?!

Randall, do you have an XM???? This came on XM44 last night and it's just about the only Smiths tune I ever liked so I turned it up in the car...then turned it off...

ok, my 10...

Howard Jones - 'No One is to Blame'
New Order - 'Blue Monday'
Soft Cell - 'Tainted Love'
Human League - 'Fascination'
Adam Ant - 'Puss in Boots'
Wide Boy Awake - 'Slang Teacher' (the most puke inducing song ever)
Kajagoogoo - 'To Shy'
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - 'Relax'
Men without Talent - 'Safety Dance'
Dexy's Midnight Runners - 'Come on Eileen'

wow, that's 10...I was just getting started...

No, LOL I don't have XM just a nice little bit of syncronicity there. I thought I was the only one who was driven nuts by Hippy Chick, KROQ used to play it to death. Then one of the DJ's said that when they play the song the switchboard would light up with complaints.

Oh and let me add... Animotion - Obsession Hell I hated it when it was used in the commercial for Chris Atkin's A Night In Heaven which was looong before Animotion got a hold of it!! (Just had to prove how long this one bugged me).
