Top Ten Spinoff

Postby Wavelength » Tue Jun 01, 2004 1:08 am

To be more specific, I was interested in specific types of songs. As a 10th anniversary present to some friends of mine who began dating in 1988, I wanted some ideas for a compilation. I was hoping for suggestions based on top ten lists that specifically target -- lacking a better term -- best new wave make out songs. Any help would be appreciated. All my cassette tapes from the 80's are worn and faded, as is my memory [:D]

Actually Grunch has many a tune from the 80s about love, too numerous to even mention; of course someone could think of (since the actual year mentioned was 1988) The Nails - 88 Lines About 44 Women kinda thing before I met you, baby theme - of course, th

1988 you say [:0], I don't recall that being a banner year for New-Wave.

Maybe, try looking through some charts to spark some of those memories.[?]

Good God! Going through some of those charts proves your point! Not a banner year indeed.

I suppose if not new wave, certainly off the mainstream. One such nugget was Edge of Forever by Dream Academy -- believe it was used in some movie that escapes me
