The most memorable for me: U2 at Nassau Community College (March 19, 1982)

I heard U2 were playing at the last minute, so I bummed a ride back to LI from college. The concert was sold out, so I hung around the entrance trying to find a spare ticket.

It pleases me to know at one time Journey was booed off the stage. Serves them right for being so overplayed. :)

As for me:

Blondie, summer of 2001. Free concert. It rained and for a split second the audio cut out, but they played anyways. Glad I sa

Lollapolozza 2 & 3

1980 something, Peir 56, NYC New ORder, Echo & the Bunnymen opening band Gene Loves Jezebel. Had lunch with the bands back stage.

*Siouxsie and the Banshees-86 Tinderbox Tour(Irvine Auditorium, Philly), 88 Peepshow Tour(Radio City Music Hall), Lollapalooza 1, 1991 Superstition Tour (I think Philly again). An

Most of my gigging days were spent during the early eighties, a time of variety, influence, and you could see good bands for £2! much less than £50 that Sting is charging his fans in 2004
Highlights:
Toyah 1980
U2 Fire tour at Manchester uni, U2 support

Best concert I ever attended:

Gang of Four
September, 1982 (I think)
Bogarts, Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH

What was most incredible here is that Cincinnati had no new wave/alternative radio station at the time. The only exposure to New Wave avai

Love this topic!
Here are my 5 favorite in decending order:
5) INXS 1988 Phoenix,AZ--it was hotter than hell (as usual) and I didn't care. These guys were amazing live. I finally understood the whole "sex symbol" thing surrounding Michael Huchance.

1. Depeche Mode - Concert for the masses (Rose Bowl), w/ OMD opening up, huge food fight and real thunder and rain during Blasphemous Rumors.
2. New Order - Universal Amp, no opening act, no Blue Monday and no encore - still brilliant.
3. Pet Shop Boy
