Great at the Black Cat in DC last night. It really was a bizarre experience seeing someone that freaking iconic walking onto a small club stage. Said he lost his voice Sunday so the audience did a sing-along on two of the songs but great otherwise. After all of Pleasure Principle, he gave us some bonus tracks - "Down In The Park" mixed in with a few of his latter industrial numbers which really thumped. The biggest highlight was the finale - a deep, rich "Are Friends Electric?"

I counted 2 Virus virtual analogs, 4 M-Audio controllers, 2 full Roland workstations and a pad set. Nice! Okay, it would have been great to have a full analog synth up there.

I was planning on going to the Chicago show (I live in Minneapolis, 400 miles away) but just couldn't coordinate the trip.

I was wondering how it would be, since he canceled the gig here in Atlanta :(

Yeah, sorry to hear RS - that lost voice. He was actually very regretful about that and explained it after "Airlane", before he went into "Metal".

A great show in Boston Friday night. DJ Phoenix I recommend you go to one of the LA gigs. Here's Gary explaining about his voice before he goes into Metal.

Anyone who goes to these shows brush up on his post 80's output the second half of the show is mostly this material.

Saw him in Toronto last night. AWESOME show, and I snivelled into the soundcheck which lasted a couple hours. Just 30 of us and Gary. Quite the experience as he has been my fave since Telekon came out. Down in the Park live was the showstopper...

It was a great concert! Some guy wrapped in bandages with an electric violin opened the show- Nash The Slash.

Of course that was back in '79 at the Santa Monica Civic...

Did you text your friends during the show then run home to post about it on Facebook?

Hell no.

I waited decades for some geniuses to create a cyberworld that would one day have a website worthy of my story.
