Echo and the Bunnymen

Just saw Echo and the Bunnymen here in Philly the other night. Ian's voice held up. Too much stage fog, though. :P

Fog is good. It hides the wrinkles. Wish I had a fog machine in my purse.

I saw the show in Austin. Great show, lots of fog and mumbling.

Do they still bring it live? They were sharp as all get out when I saw them in 1988...just wondering if they still project that dark, edgy mood at their shows.

There's always so much mumbling. Does Ian have any idea that not a single person outside of Liverpool has understood a thing he's said since the late 80s??

Haha! Saw this show on Friday night in NYC. Motion carried on the Ian mumbling comment. Ian lost his voice at a few points in the show, but overall a very tight gig. This drummer is probably the best since Pete De.

I made the drive up to Toronto a few days ago to see Echo and the Bunnymen and can also confirm the mumbling. But they did put on a great show and it was nice to see them again for the first time since 1986.

Ian started to lose his voice about halfway through the show though.
