An hour and half over here. Fuck 'em. I bet you half the twats going to the shows won't even be real fans. Just going because it's at the MoMA.

This comment just about sums it up for me:

I'm pretty sure I can watch four old guys standing in front of laptops down the hall in our CIS department.

I was giggling the whole time at the idea of Kraftwerk at a museum of modern art. I could just imagine the crowd. I could just imagine everyone wearing their presence at the event like an aura of high hipster privilege. But instead of detracting from the festivities, it added to the atmosphere. It was an event, an occasion, the snootiest of affairs that had me laughing at the spectacle of it all but also thoroughly enjoying the spectacle of it all.

Musik Non Stop (probably best viewed on youtube in HD):

Good grief almighty, to see THE purveyors of electronic music at New York's Museum of Modern Art of all places...and then to walk away with such stunning imagery, the ULTIMATE keepsake of any concert...well, I tip my hat to you, Blir - WELL DONE [^]

This is just historical, plain and simple.....

I feel like an ass for all the whining I did about not getting tix at the on-sale (I believe GFS said that 50 Cent whined less after getting shot 8 times) to have won tix to not one show, but two, in separate sweepstakes (Trans Europe Express and Man-Machine). But amazing events and bummed that more couldn't attend as the room seemed to me it could have fit 150-200 more comfortably.

Great vid and pics, Blir.

Heh, I came to post this. Done! Great article.

"Yet after three-and-a-half decades of tech upgrades Kraftwerk probably sounds less futuristic than it did on first exposure. That’s because Kraftwerk’s future became pop’s present."

For those of who were unable to attend any of the MOMA shows I would suggest the next best thing, namely a visit to PS1 in Long Island City

http://momaps1.org/

Continuing until next week there is an Kraftwerk installation in a big dome; on 8 large display panels, videos play (2D only) as Kraftwerk music plays. You can sit or lay on a big cushion in the center of the dome.

I was there today, and stayed for about an hour, and heard/saw the following songs/videos:

1) Autobahn
2) Trans Europe Express
3) The Man Machine
4) Numbers
5) Computer World
6) Boing Boom Tschak
7) Techno Pop
8) Musique Non Stop
9) The Robots ("The Mix" version)
10) Tour De France

It will cost $10 to enter the museum and the Dome

Catch it if you can!
