all they are saying now is that there will be dates in October and November...grrrr... probably the worst time for me schedule-wise

and they're playing dates in the UK in December with Scritti Politti

It's okay Schwenko. I've caught them a couple times since you last saw them. I can give you a rundown. [:o)]

I'm hearing October 24th in Toronto, Schwenko.

I haven't caught these cats since we saw them up my way in 2002. Scratching a ten-year itch, almost to the day.

Very pleased with the current record.

NYC's getting The Golden Filter as opener, I see.

I'd take that action for Toronto (and if they'd like to include their "Age Of Consent" cover, that's fine with me as well). Golden Filter's MySpace and Facebook pages aren't giving anything away yet.

So how was Toronto?
Could you buy the US edition of W+M? If so did they take credit cards?

Lovely show from an all-time favourite band too long absent from these parts. I'll drum up a little blog review for tomorrow, but to answer the most pertinent question:

They're selling a LIMIT of 300 CDs per show, at $20 local currency per. I didn't catch a per-person limit, although the merch fella didn't blanch when I mentioned buying multiples. I didn't enquire about credit card payments, but the table was so stripped down - opening act on one side, a box of Et discs on the other - I wouldn't be surprised if it was strictly cash 'n' carry.

Toronto doors opened at 8, opener was on at 9, Et came on at 10:15 as advertised. I got in at 8:45 and bought my disc at 9, by which point merch fella said they'd sold 100.

Sarah never mentioned the discs from the stage, and I'm not sure how many they moved at the end. Opera House - where you and I saw them in 2002 - holds 750 legal, and I figure the crowd was a shade under-two-thirds full.

No other merch for sale, and I asked if there're plans to add tees and such, but merch fella said the discs are likely it.
