I'll be seeing him Friday nite at The Palace - small venue in Stafford Springs CT...who knew this place was even there and that he's playing there of all places. Sort of slipped thru the radar.

Lucky I caught it in time so check his site, could be playing at your local pub!

Caught the show last nite at The Palace in CT - Midge was fantastic, and even though his backing band Right The Stars only had a few days to rehearse with Midge, they did a great job. A few songs the Keyboard was not right.

He is only in the states until end of January, small gigs, and this one was very small, about 50 people. Midge was even joking around and in good spirits about how few people were there. Saying if we all lined up along the stage, there would still be room at the ends, and that if we all start drinking heavily it would seem like the room was full, but would take quite a few drinks. I believe he may have been disappointed in the Venue. I blame the venue poorly promoted (although a nice place and I would go back there) but also the person who promotes Midges site and FB page. Heck if it wasn't for me stumbling upon it last minute to look at his page, they would have been minus a few more. I hope this does not discourage a tour with Ultravox. Wrong location IMHO, although it is a nice theater, a little off the main trail, but if they had promoted more, they may have at least filled the place. Had he played at FTC or Infinity Hall, they would have been sold out. Infinity Hall's location is used for taping shows for the Artists Den, so if they do come around, that is one place they should arrange to get filmed for a DVD release, or TV.

Here is the set list:

I See Hope, Loves Great Adventure, Call Of The Wild, Fade To Grey, Breathe, Cold Cold Heart, Answers to Nothing, Just For You, No Regrets, Vienna, Dear God, One Small Day, Hymn, If I Was, Dancing With Tears In My Eyes and finished the set with acoustic, Do They Know It's Christmas?

Midge told some stories on a few songs, wish he had done more of this!

I was elated after the show, having seen the legendary man behind so many songs from my youth! Thanks Midge!

I'll post photos on my blog in a few days, or if you are on Midges FB page you can see them there in Photos of Midge.
