The Go-Go's and The Motels

Postby coop41 » Thu Jul 24, 2014 12:21 am

Free tickets from a friend at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ 7/23/14

The Motels opened (was expecting Naked Eyes and Scandal before the Motels based on previously billed shows but did not materialize)
Opened with that one song I knew, played a bunch of other songs, closed with that other one I knew. At 63, Martha Davis can still sing. Never a fan but it was fine.

The Go - Go's absolutely killed it. All the hits plus Mad About You, Cool Places during their set and Johnny Are You Queer in the encore were all awesome. High energy and solid sound, I was super impressed. Crowd completely into it. A lot of fun!

Nice, haven't seen the Go-Gos since the 80s opening for Bowie.
