<br>yah, who went? Would love to hear a report!

Me and the boy never did go on a mini-vacation. It got delayed for Oct. I already blew money other concert tickets (U2 next Monday, Dead Can Dance next Wed, and Bauhaus in Nov… now if I can only find a way to see Front 242 in NYC as well).

LOL, I would have expected no less Otters. You are THE pop meister.

Did you ever get Spaz's CDR collection? It's a pretty juicy bite of pop that's right up your alley. I can forward it along.

I never did get Spaz's collection. He was on my original list of people to send mixes to, but I never sent him any, or he didn't send my any, or both. I forget. So, yes, I'd love to get a copy.

I just got back from the final night of the popfest. I saw an excellent band from Iceland called Dyrdin, the supposed final live show of Trembling Blue Stars, and a couple of other fine indiepop bands. Good times.

How were the Trembling Blue Stars? They played several times in NYC last week, but I missed all their shows. I understand that they will release recordings, but not do live shows in the future.

TBS sounded great, you missed a good show. If it was truly their final live performance, however, you'd never know it, as they certainly didn't mention anything about it.
The only lowlight was that Beth apparently was pissed off about something and stopped singing during a song that she had lead. The popfest organizer later wrote on the indiepop list that she had an asthma attack, but I'm not sure I believe that.
No matter, that was just one song and the rest was very good.
