All of the US tour locations seems to support the band, however, Boise just seems (and I am probably wrong) like a heavy metal town. Check out the venue where KISS is the upcoming headliner:

So who are the last persons here to have seen them recently? I thought I recall some pretty negative reviews about a lot of arrogant posturing by Ian. Truth? Not?

I saw them a couple of years ago, when they toured with the Psychedelic Furs. Their mix was way too loud and overmodulated. The set was extrememly dark, and Ian did little talking to the audience (though he never really does and I've seen them 5 times or so). They really do need to lighten up on stage, literally and figuratively.

Two years ago in Vegas. Maybe Ian did well at the tables that night because they were great.[:)]

I just ordered my tickets for the Irving Plaza show....I've never seen them live before, so I'm really excited!! Curious to see if they will be as non-interactive with the audience as some say they are...we shall see!!

Oh shit. I forgot all about Echo's tour! Sunday in NYC at Irving and Tuesday in Philly at TLA! Anyone going??? I'd highly recommend it. This new album is a real grower. I highly recommend picking that up too. Stuff like "All Because of You Days" and "Stormy Weather" get more and more glorious every time I listen to them.

And oh jeez, the "What If We Are" lyrics are Ian at his achingly wistful best:

Maybe you're not the world, maybe you're not the stars, maybe you're not the girl, but what if you are?
Maybe I'm not the boy, maybe I'm not the man, maybe I'm not the one, but what if I am?

Fuck! This is good stuff!!!

Irving Plaza has been sold out for a while. I've been checking Craig's list, but don't want to take out a second mortgage to get a ticket[:D]

I went last night....Ian came out on stage and it looked as if he just rolled out of bed, or just stumbled in from a bar. It took him a few songs to get his voice back (at first he sounded like he was getting over a really bad cold) but once his voice smoothed out, he sounded real good....like I could close my eyes and really think it was 18 years ago! They played for about an hour and a half, with two encores. He kept turning the fan in front of him off and on and pointing at the lights overhead....my guess was he probably was a tad lit, but he did address the audience quite a bit and thanked us all for coming. I'd say 98% of the audience was over the age of 30....it was good to see so many people out on a Sunday night to see them....all in all, I would definitely go and see them play again!!
