Anyone looking for a turntable?

Over the years I've collected a bit of excess stereo equipment, and I've decided that I need to clear a few things out so I thought I'd offer up a turntable here for someone who is in need of one. The turntable in question is a Bang & Olufsen TX2, which, besides being an interesting turntable from a design aspect, also happens to sound wonderful. Included will be a MMC 4 cartridge in virtually new condition as well as a MMC 2 cartridge which has been used, but which still has more than half it's usable life left.

In case you also need a pre-amp, I have a Hafler DH-101 that I can throw in as well.

There is no cost for either the turntable, cartridges, or the pre-amp. I just want to give it to somebody who will get good use out of it. There will be complete instructions on installation & set up as well as an explanation of how the B&O turntable works.

Please know that this isn't a junk turntable. I would rate it as a strong 9 out of 10, and it was completely serviced by the local B&O outlet a little over a year ago.

No, it's not me...it just happens to be another guy with a TX2.


My only restrictions are:

1. You currently don't own a working turntable, and,

2. You have at least 100 posts on the Outpost

Other than that, the first one to e-mail gets the goods.

That is a really nice thing you're doing. No...I am not applying for the equipment. I have met the post qualification but I DO have a working turntable. I hope the person who requests this will put this to good use!





We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

Thanks club80. Actually I have 2 of these, the other one will also go once I decide on a new turntable. Maybe I'll think up some sort of contest for that one.

Not this one Phil...you'd need to connect it to a pre-amp, and then it could connect to a line level soundcard in your computer.

I was thinking more of an internet scavenger hunt.

It's a cinch edisonoside would win an arm wrestling contest, and I'm sure georgie has done his share of emergency running (mostly from the stage) to be a shoe in to win a foot race.
