In case anyone is interested....you may want to take a quick look on e-bay now & over the coming weeks & months. I've decided it's time to sell off my vinyl & some memorabilia. I'll slowly being selling it well into next year at the rate I'm going....mostly obscure synth / new wave / post wave / indie stuff that some may still find interesting.

Here is a brief overview of some of the listings now on e-bay:

(SEARCH UNDER SELLER "sckcomf")

WHITE CHINA (Smiles & Jokes), HOORAH BOYS HOORAH, THE STAGE, KICK REACTION, HEYDAY, VENETIANS (rare early single), DEL AMITRI (autographed), JEANETTE, BROTHERS OF CRAIG, LES IMMER ESSEN, GODOT, APPLE MOSAIC, ROY FINCH, IGNATIUS JONES, MARGINAL ERA, KUDOS, THE EXPRESSION (rare b-side), HAWAIIAN PUPS, JON ST. JAMES, MONKEY RHYTHM, UNITS......might be worth the occasional look for vinyl hounds.....enough of the little commercial. MUCH MUCH MORE TO COME!!!

Ocean:

I've noticed that a few others are doing the same thing (selling off the collection) and I have to admit, it's crossed my mind as well. Just curious as to why you are choosing to sell. Oh, and in case I decide not to sell, do you have a list of what you have so I can have a look (I've bought a couple of things from you if memory serves)

Hard decision to sell......have sold some in the past and then wished I had kept the vinyl. I move a lot... so the large vinyl collection is a constant hassle to transport and takes up lots of space. In my limited free time, the collection has become unmanagable and unorganized. I'll still always keep a few boxes of some favorite / rare vinyl to dig out every now and then. I guess I hope some of the stuff fills holes in other peoples collections... or over the coming months exposes some to more obscure 80's material. Unfortunately, I don't have a list of the vinyl I'll be selling - just pulling stuff from the boxes in no particular order. In the end, it's a tough decison to sell.

Any chance you have the Units on Mp3? I know from past experience that one will sell for way more than I can afford.

I understand the need to sell from time to time. I like to travel light but I have a massive collection of music.

I sold almost all my vinyl years ago but I have a few choice things and occasionally pick up some vinyl.

Lately I've been selling dozens and dozens of CDs. Mostly at used shops but some of worth on eBay. It feels good...like weeding a garden. The good stuff I always come back to through the years shines through without all the dross surrounding it.

Mostly I've been selling off noise and experimental stuff. Just don't listen to it much anymore. Also a lot of stuff I thought was great when I was in college but just doesn't hold up as well to me now.

I am copying some of the stuff but to me, when you have tons and tons of music it's hard to enjoy the stuff that moves you the most somehow. So much of the music is in my head I can hear it whenever I want to anyway.

But I just don't listen to stuff like Coil or Big Black or Sonic Youth or Non as much anymore and probably never will.

I've gone through the shelves as well, I've even pulled out some stuff to sell (I have duplicates of about 200 items) but can't bring myself to sell them. Strange or weak, I don't know which. I've laid an initial claim to the Hoorah Boys Hoorah single BTW.

Actually, I think I owe you a CD. (I think I know you by your real name...you've sent me stuff before) Didn't we speak about "Your Hell" by the Climb?
