GI Joe and Star Wars Action figures were my toys of choice as well.

Wasn't "Action Jackson" the British equivalent to GI Joe?

I'm not sure about that, but I do remember wanting a 'non combatant' type action figure.
Even back then I harbored serious anti-war sentiments. Non-Conformist, that's me![B)]

I was absolutely a Barbie girl. PC my as--we were very liberated little girls (back when liberated meant feminist and not sexually permissive). My sis and I had great fun putting our girls into all kids of crazy situations, cops Barbies, lawyer Barbies,

My favorite toy was a traditional type of bow and arrow called a "vöörtääv vibu ja nooled" that my dad made for me when I was about five. I practiced all the time and eventually became quite good at it. I still have it and it's one of my very favorite pos

Stretch Armstrong was kinda neat. I once put one of his arms in a vise and pulled until the skin finally cracked. Reddish goop came out which was very sticky.
Battling Tops was a pointless yet fun game. Players wind string around their tops and launch

Wrist Rocket (Professional Slingshot) From 1980-1984 the streetlights in our neiborhood were no longer safe. Plus I thought it was a pretty punk rock thing to do..... heeee heeee heeee...[}:)]

and a toy that kept you entertained for hours, until somebody passed out, was Sit-n-Spin. You guys remember those ? My husband called it "Sit-n-Puke". hahahahahahaa

I did eventually get a "Hungry, Hungry Hippos" game when I was about eight. That game kicked ass.

Stretch Armstrong was cooooool. I had an idiot friend that punctured him and sucked out about 1/4 of the goop and ate it. I very vividly remember his family rushing him to the emergency room to have his stomach pumped. Green Machines were cool, too. W
