Im a proud Duranimal.

I Take the Dice makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.

Poor girlfriend. She was tortured with that...and The Extras.
Retro obscure new wave band from long ago with a jazzy sound to it. Makes me feel fuzzy inside too.

I only know Maple. Maple is fun stuff.

And where there are NO DRAKES CAKES!!!! Stop it Phillyidol & devildog. You guys are making me hungry. I practically lived on Drake's Cakes when I was going to Pratt institute in Brooklyn. I believe they only exist in the NYC area. Neither do we have Entenmenn's (sp?) here but we do have Friehoffer's which is damn close.

My name came from my favorite 80s site which no longer exists -- DayGloRadio. (Now NWO is may fave.) and my first name is Jo. I had thought about using my DayGlo user name here but I wanted to try something new.

And all this time I think your name was a mis-spelt shortty, that meant you (or parts of you) were short.

Mine's just stupid a play on words (nothing to do with my religious/political views). If anyone finds it offensive, let me know and I'll change it to icURaPCa. [}:)]

Maybe I should get some "$$ pls" plates. [:)]

My real name is Jeff Lyons

Geoff is the British derivation.

I have an Irish heritage and my last name is derived from the Celtic variation O'Lehane.

Thus geoffolehane.

Named after one of my favourite bands.

I really like their attitude and spirit though still haven't found out what their name means. [8D]

I remember reading somewhere that the Japanese used to make pencils with English words stamped on them randomly and that's where they got "Frank Chickens".

I was born in Minnesota, and when Kimiiii plays the Theme to Jaws, I chase her around her house.

I'm just glad she didn't say "Otter" or "Wolverine." They can be hella mean. [:o)]

Actually, the tiger part stuck after some martial arts prowess.

Thanks for answering my query, makes sense as the Japanese have always like the sound of English rather than what it actually means.

Postby Spectre General » Tue Jul 12, 2005 9:27 am

My name is an 80's band.

Spectre General is a Canadian hair band actually called Kick Axe but they called themselves "Spectre General" for the 2 songs they recorded on the "Transformers: The Movie" soundtrack, as if going by their real names would tarnish their non-existant image or something...I also think "Spectre General" sounds cool as hell and hence I use it virtually everywhere, although I know there are other people out there stealing my name![:(!]

Anyway now you know, and knowing is half the battle.....oh wait, that's G.I. Joe...

I'm GarageBill because my name is Bill and one of my favorite genres of music is Garage Rock. I even started a very popular web site on this kind of music about 3 years ago. I also like New Wave and Punk, as well as Metal and Doo-Wops!

Hi,

I came up with my name years ago when I first went on the internet. I didn't want to be hassled so I used a name I felt would not make my gender as obvious. It seems it has worked considering some of the comments and interactions I have received.

LOL Kimiiii I thought this was a brand new topic but I see it is one you have resurrected from the past. It is all good though. It is interesting to see why everyone chose the name they used. :)
