What Are You Watching?

Postby ExRat » Wed Sep 08, 2004 11:37 am

Sean's topics of various television shows made me curious about what all of you New Wavers consider to be your favorite television programs. I don't necessarily mean 'Classic' shows - just your all-time favorite, classic or current. Since we all have a similar interest in a particular genre of music, how will our viewing habits match up?

A few of my favorites (although I don't watch TV as much as I'd like):

"Carnivale" - HBO
"Autopsy" - HBO
"Cold Case Files" - A&E (Not the NBC drama of a nearly identical name.)
"American Justice" - A&E
"Reno 911" - Comedy Central
"Daily Show" - Comedy Central
"South Park" - Comedy Central
"Seinfeld" - NBC
"Young Ones" - MTV/BBC
"League of Gentlemen" - BBC America
"Monty Python's Flying Circus" - Every other channel on earth.
"X-Files" - FOX
"Dr. Who" - PBS
"Red Dwarf" - BBC
"Kolchak - The Night Stalker" - Sci-Fi (I missed it the first time 'round.)
"EGG - The Art Show" - TRIO
"In Search of" - NBC
"Roseanne" - CBS
"Square Pegs" - CBS
"Venture Bros." - Cartoon Network

There are probably a million others, but I just can't think of 'em right now.

Ooh! Also "Gumby"[^]

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but except for an 11-day stay in the hospital in 2000, I haven't watched any TV at all since mid-1999.

I know all of the older shows, but none of the new ones.

Not much of a TV watcher. In fact, I think our TV is phasing itself out. 3 channels barely come in.

Old faves:
Star Trek--all of 'em! Partcularly TNG !! Reruns are just as good !
Monty Python
Frasier
Will & Grace
ER
Boston Public
the OC

Television sucks for the most part.

But these are some of the shows I enjoyed over the years (more old than new):

Old
"All in the Family"
"One Day At A Time"
"Family Ties"
"Sonny & Cher"

New
"Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" (HILARIOUS!)
