Burning question: how do you take your hamburger

Postby phillyidol » Mon Sep 13, 2004 11:50 am

Listen, I'm just having a good time.
Anyway, I am from Brooklyn NY. Home of Coney Island and Nathons famous hot dogs. Where are you from and what do you put on it? I ask this because in different parts of the country, they make them different. In NY, hot dogs you eat with mustard, sometimes relish and kraut. Burgers you eat with ketchup. Lets hear it.

Hot dogs:
Catsup, Mustard, Relish-- thats about it.

Burgers:
as much meat as possible, onions, mustard, catsup, pickles, tomatoes, chilli, tons of cheese, and

Frayo- you did it!You are the first person to say catsup! I know they call it that in different parts of the country. Oh, the burgers, cool. We don't put all that stuff on them but it sounds good. I heard that there are way different ways to eat hot dogs

Frayo, I like your style!

I used to put everything on my burgers. Now, it's just cheese, onions, cocktail sauce, lettuce, tomato, sour dill pickles, red or green pepper.

Oh. and since '88, it's been a veggie burger.

I am such a wimp.

Hamburger - blue cheese, mustard, mayo, tomato, pickles, Heinze 57 sauce

I'm originally from NJ:
hot dogs - ketchup and/or mustard, maybe relish
burgers - ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onion

In Orlando, FL, I had grilled onions on a hot dog for the first time ever. THAT is the best.

Now I live in the Boston suburbs:

When I eat a burger at home I'm the typical american: ketchup, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion. No cheese though, I'm not a fan.

Anyone else live in Connecticut, especially near New Haven? Ever get a burger at Louie's Lunch? For those of you w

Kimiii -

If my memory hasn't faded too much, I remember Earthquake Burgers being a part of the Puyallup Fair. That was the only place I ever had them, at least. Frisco Freeze was the high school joint of choice. A burger so greasy it lubed the poop

I don't eat hot dogs.

Hamburgers- RARE, plain with nothing on it. I usually use garlic pepper or a black & red pepper mix to garnish.
I do not like ketchup, mustard, catsup, relish or any of that stuff.
Or catsoup.[:p]

Nathans hot dogs are the best! I cover mine in onions, pickles, tomato, and Grey Poupon mustard. The roll has to be steamed too. I can eat 2-3 at a time. Nothing like the Chine man who eats 52 every 4th of July.

Philly Idol,

My dinner last night was homemade apple juice and homemade apple sauce.

I try to eat one food at a time with an hour between each food.

For instance, if I eat a canteloupe for lunch, I'll wait until 2:00 to have a young coconut. O
