It's a dark dreary morning in Puget Sound, so I'm taking a "mental health day" and am sitting in front of the gas fireplace with the laptop listening to the Clash on "Retro-Active" DMX.

Since I'm being extra-lazy today I thought it was about time I got over my photo thing and made good on my promise to Kimiiii to post my 1984 prom photos. These are quite a sign of the times.

This is me and my then-boyfriend Thom (NOT my lost love) and the couple we double-dated with. I'm the brunette bob in the strapless blue dress . . . wait, I guess that doesn't narrow it. I'm the girl with the more conservative appearance (without the stripes) with the blond guy. (Philly, is that your jacket? The photo doesn't really capture its irridescence.) Notice that Kevin is wearing Michelle's pearls. Below is another photo that shows Thom's full-on Duran Duran "Save a Prayer" video look.

No, my jacket(thanks for remembering) was black with electric blue cuffs that you would roll up. But you did ok, you went to the prom with a member of duran duran!!!LOL!

Great pix, hexicon. Although, I'm thinking Thom has a David Sylvian look to him, and Kevin seems more of a cross between Duran Duran and Tears for Fears. Thanks for sharing them. [:)]
