Help needed from you writers...

Postby Spaz » Mon Sep 27, 2004 11:59 am

Hey gang,

I've been writing reviews, articles, etc., in my spare time for the last 10 years or so (including co-editing POPsided fanzine a few years back).

I've written lyrics to tons of songs with my brother (that no one has heard).

Currently, I write reviews and bios for All Music Guide, but I'd like to expand my horizons a bit. I've recently done the liner notes for the new A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS and THOMPSON TWINS reissues on Superfecta as well.

Any advice from you writers on how to expand my writing to other paying jobs (part-time/full-time)? At the age of 40, I finally settled on what I really want to do, and that is to write.

Am I too late? Should I just be a loser for the rest of my life?

Might I just add not just ANY ole liner notes, but the AFOS notes include recent correspondence with Mike & Ali Score. SPAZ is a great writer so anyone hooked up to any magazines you NEED him on your editorial staff!!

Spaz, it's never too late!

But the economy sucks now and you have to know someone to get an in.

Where are you from? If it's locally (NYC) maybe I can help you out.
