Songs that make you Cry

Postby Rubbeet921 » Thu Sep 30, 2004 3:22 pm

WHICH SONGS ALMOST ALWAYS MAKE YOU SAD/CRY??? (has somebody asked this question already??? I'm not sure [?] Anything that could make you feel like you're the one who could've written that song

R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts" made me cry a few times especially when I'm alone. It just really stirs me up emotionally and make me feel like I'm the saddest human being on earth. It gives me a lump in the throat that I couldn't sing along with it anymore...Almost always...

These songs have made me choke up:

REM-Everybody Hurts
The Communards-For a Friend
Robbie Williams-Angels
Suede-The Next Life
The Cure-Apart/Trust
Allyson Moyet-The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. This version and the original by Roberta Flack.

Anything new by Sting or U2. Well maybe it's not crying per se...more like an uncontrolled rage like the gorilla in the old Samsonite commercial.

Gary Jules' cover of "Mad World" (originally by Tears For Fears). It was in the FANTASTIC movie Donnie Darko, and is easily the most depressing song I've ever heard. VAST's "Don't Take Your Love Away" is quite sad as well.

When my first was born, I was there, cut the cord, blah blah blah. But was too busy for crying. These jerk doctors(no offence) put my kid filthy under a lamp and left her alone. Her first moments on earth. So I ran over, picked her up and started to sing

How could anybody forget "El Paso" by Marty Robbins? [V]

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl
Night time would find me in Rosa's cantina
Music would play and Feleena would whirl

Blacker than night where the
